Committed to using private sector resources to drive sustainability, Scott has spent his career advising U.S., Chinese, and international companies on their global CSR strategies in the Asia. With nearly 20 years' experience working in Thailand, China, and the United States, Scott serves as the Director for the Ford Motor Company Foundation, overseeing the company’s charitable activities across Asia Pacific. Scott has worked at Ford since 2011, and in a previous role, served as Corporate Communications Director for Ford in China. Prior to Ford, Scott launched the Guangzhou (2004) and Beijing (2007) offices for a US- based sustainability NGO, Business for Social Responsibility (BSR). At BSR, Scott worked closely with U.S. and Chinese government agencies on social and environmental sustainability—and ran multi-year projects with clients including HP, Foxconn, China Mobile, and Ramunico – a Chinese mining company operating in Papua New Guinea. A native of California and a graduate of U.C. Berkeley, Scott is fluent in English and Chinese. In Bangkok, Scott serves as Chair to the AmCham CSR committee, Honorary Chair of the Ploenchit Fair, and Patron for British Women’s Group. Scott, his husband, and their three young children have lived in Bangkok since early 2016.
