Head of External and Regulatory Affairs for the Asia-Pacific

Jared Dougherty heads Advocacy, External and Regulatory Affairs for the AT&T businesses (including AT&T Communications & WarnerMedia) in the Asia Pacific region. His team advocates for the communications and media businesses - and for interest of the cross-industry enterprises who depend on the secure global network of AT&T - to support and champion policy efforts that advance the positive role of technology in life, work, and entertainment. Jared regularly engages on emerging technology policy issues including 5G. He has recently co-organized a short conference exploring the role of 5G in technologies such as M2M, robotics, and autonomous vehicles, as well as considering potential impact of 5G in Singapore and the wider region. He has also moderated a panel addressing “implications of 5G on national competitiveness and business growth,” which included carriers, equipment suppliers, and media. Previously, Jared has lead regional and global functions for AT&T in the Americas, Europe and Asia, including Government Carrier Relations, Global Marketing- Alliance Development, Sales, Finance, and Global Program Management. Based in Singapore, Jared is a co-chair of the American Chamber of Commerce Technology Media and Telecom Committee. He also serves on the Policy Council of the Asia Video Industry Association (AVIA) and as a member of the Asia Council of the Motion Picture Association. Jared actively volunteers supporting English education and community engagement of migrant workers.
